The Five Core Cues
Your dog will work on the five foundational cues:
Heel • Sit • Stay • Come • Down
These are taught as part of everyday life so your dog learns to respond with greater reliability, not just during a formal training session.
Training the Human, Too
Next Rung focuses heavily on teaching you how to communicate clearly using praise, consistency, and your dog’s natural physical language.
The goal is to help your dog understand that you provide the structure and direction, allowing them to relax instead of feeling responsible for making every decision.
Customized Around Your Dog
Every dog arrives with a different history.
Your program is adjusted around:
-
Age
-
Previous training
-
Current habits
-
Household routine
-
Temperament
-
Training goals
We build the foundation your dog needs before progressing into more distracting or advanced environments.
