Out & About | Real-World Dog Training

Building Reliability Beyond the Home

Out & About is a 6-session dog training program designed to help dogs become calmer, more reliable, and more responsive in everyday life and higher-distraction environments.

Training begins in the home and yard, then progresses rung by rung into more challenging settings as your dog demonstrates readiness.

What We Work On

Training may include:

  • Real-world leash manners

  • Impulse control

  • Neutrality around people and dogs

  • Calm behavior in new environments

  • Overstimulation

  • Barking

  • Lunging

  • Reactivity

  • Anxiety in public settings

  • Poor decision-making around distractions

  • Thresholds in and out of the home

  • Car transitions

  • Focus and responsiveness in public

How the Program Progresses

We do not rush dogs into distracting environments before they are ready.

We first make sure the dog has enough structure, communication, and basic obedience to succeed. From there, we gradually add distractions and new environments while reinforcing calm, reliable behavior.
